The Renewable Energy Outreach Director's primary duties are to develop, coordinate and lead renewable energy engineering continuing education programs and to develop and coordinate other types continuing education programs in all areas of engineering. Additionally, the Renewable Energy Outreach Director will teach continuing education courses, teach graduate/undergraduate engineering courses, and carry out other duties as required by the Director of the Emergent Technologies Institute.

Essential Job Duties
Coordinates renewable energy engineering continuing education programs and other related continuing education programs. Teaches courses within the continuing education program and graduate and undergraduate courses offered in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering. Works closely with the Backe Chair in Renewable Energy and the Chair of the Department of Environmental and Civil Engineering.
The successful candidate will have a Master's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. At least 5 years of experience in renewable energy engineering or a closely related field. Preferred qualifications include: A demonstrated ability to develop and teach courses in renewable energy engineering at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Experience and the ability to teach engineering entrepreneurship is a plus. Professional registration or the ability to become registered. Experience in coordinating engineering continuing education programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to develop and teach courses in renewable energy engineering at both the graduate and undergraduate level. Ability to develop and coordinate continuing education courses in all areas of engineering and to and teach courses focused on renewable energy engineering.
